How do I get to Tolly Café from Tollygunge Metro?
It's about a six-minute walk. Head towards M.R. Bangur Hospital, go round behind it onto Golf Club Road, and turn into the lane right beside Bangur High School. Look for the red sign over the gate.
Do I need to book?
Walk-ins are welcome, but the yard is small and weekend evenings fill up. A WhatsApp message a day ahead is the surest way to get a table.
Is there enough for vegetarians?
Yes. There's a full Bengali niramish section, North Indian paneer and dal, veg momo, Chinese and sandwiches. Switch on "Veg only" in the menu to see everything.
Why does food take a little while?
Because nothing is kept ready. We start cooking once you order, the way it's done at home, so on a busy evening it can take a while. If you're short on time, tell us when you order.
Do you deliver or cater?
Yes. Home delivery around Tollygunge, office meals for a few people or in bulk, and catering for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, reunions and shraddha ceremonies. Message us with the date and headcount.
